Frequently Asked Questions

  • What sources are supported?
Currently Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Dropbox and the camera roll are supported. More will be added in the future. If you have special requests, drop me a line!
  • How can I create a filter?
There are two ways to create a filter:
    1. In the filter tab, tap the "+" and select the filter you want to create.
    2. You can also create a filter based on a picture. Tap the picture you want to base a filter on and scroll down. When you click the filter icon next to the date or location, a new filter will be created based on the property of that picture.
  • Why can't I see my Dropbox pictures?
When you add Dropbox as a source, it doesn't automatically download all you images, since there may be many thousands. In order to view the media from a certain folder, first navigate to that folder and make sure to select it. Once you navigated to it and selected it (or just the media inside of it), Shotpool will download them and they will show up in the overview.
  • What are the "AND" and "OR" filters?
These filters allow you to combine other filters. When you put two or more filters in an "AND" filter, the image has to match both filters to be shown. When you put filters in an "OR" filter, an image will show if it matches any of the filters.
You could use the "AND" filter to view all pictures from a certain date and at a certain location, for instance. The OR filter could be used if you maybe want to view the pictures you took at your home or your girlfriends home.

Please note that a filter that is not selected will show all images. This means that when you have an OR filter where one the filters in it is not selected it will match with all pictures.
